LAB- Our lab is open to our patients every day of the week. No appointment is needed; however, the lab is closed between 11-1 for lunch.

Walk-in Lab Hours- 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Our office uses PathGroup for lab services. If your insurance requires you to use another lab, please notify us, and we can provide you with appropriate lab orders and address to the nearest draw station.

EKG and X-Ray services are also available in our building. We also perform Pulmonary Function Tests, Urinalysis, Occult Stool Testing, Protime/INR testing. Your provider may order specialty testing. We now send our patients to Mid-South ENT- Bartlett location for ear irrigations. Their satellite office is in our building.

ULTRASOUND/ECHOCARDIOGRAM- Your Medical Provider may order radiological testing for further evaluation. We offer in-office ultrasound testing on Mondays and Fridays. Echocardiogams are done on Wednesdays. The testing is done by Regional Diagnostic, and they bill your insurance separately, however North Internal Medicine interprets the results, and notifies the patient either by phone call or follow-up appointment.

SAME DAY APPT- Our nurse practitioners are essential members of our practice. They work side-by-side and collaborate with our doctor, and accept urgent and same day appointments.

WELLNESS EXAMS- Most Plans allow for 1 Wellness Exam once every Calendar year. We are also able to perform routine PAP smears. Please note that Medicare Wellness Exams have to be performed at least 366 days apart, and Medicare Wellness Exams do NOT include a CXR or EKG.

We do not offer DOT (Department of Transportation) Physicals.

MEDICAL RECORDS- Your records are confidential and will not be released without a signed consent from you. If you need records released to/from us please sign the release form which is located in our medical record department. Turnaround time for Medical Records is 72 hours. There is a fee for completion of Disability Paper work and for FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) Paper Work

REFILLS- Refill requests are accepted, please allow 24 hours for them to be completed. Controlled Substances will not be refilled after hours or on weekends.

EMERGENCIES- Our providers are available to you 24 hours a day. You can call our main office at 901-387-0193. After-hours calls will be transferred to our on-call physician service. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

REFERRALS- We request 72 hours notice for processing physician referrals, except in the case of an emergency. If you are seen and need to be referred out, Mrs. Pat at checkout will assist you.
